Rigid Motions
Translations, rotations, and reflections preserve distances and angle measures. They produce congruent figures. Coordinate rules must specify the center or axis; a standard origin rule does not apply to an arbitrary center.

Lesson 6.2
Dilations
A dilation multiplies displacement from its center by a scale factor. Positive factors preserve the direction from the center. Lengths scale by the factor, while areas scale by its square. Factors other than one generally change size.
Lesson 6.3
Compositions
Apply coordinate transformations in the stated order. Function composition acts from right to left. Reversing a translation and a reflection can change the image, so show the intermediate point.
